SHOPPING MODEL

Bienvenidos believes that choice is tied to dignity. For this reason, the Food Bank distributes based on a shopping model. After donated and purchased food has been crated and inventoried, it is arranged on display-tables. Clients then pass through the Food Bank with carts, recycled bags and boxes to shop for items they want.

OUR IMPACT

Nearly 1,200 of the individuals served in 2009 were children and 300 were seniors. 77% of clients visited the Food Bank fewer than 15 times during the year, indicating we played an important, though short-term role supporting people in a time of need. 5% of clients visited the Food Bank consistently throughout the year.
